SLATE is about the friendships I hold dear in my early adulthood. As a collective we uphold an unspoken understanding of trust. The tender reliance we hold for one another plays a powerful role. We can depend on one another for a hug, have a serious debate, and even a shoulder to lean on. The ability to go to one another, no questions asked, and have that support system is crucial to my life.
We develop and progress with who we surround ourselves with. These images are the way I choose to attach myself to a those who I love. I choose to preserve the memories of our friendships evolving through the years as we all age and enter new stages in our lives. Documenting my friends help me to elaborate the intimate care that comes with our evolving relationship.
